 Panasonic makes a terrific long lasting Shaver March 18, 2010

I have been using the new shaver for several weeks now and I can safely say that I have never had a better shave in my life. My last Panasonic was a present given to me by my Son for my birthday in 1988. It still works fine today, but I thought that I should retire it after 22 years and try a new Panasonic. I'm glad I did!!!

I have been wet shaving for the past 25 years, and have only tried two electric razors, which were very uncomfortable for my face. I have very sensitive skin and a thin build, so it is hard for an electric razor to shave my chin and neck.
The Panasonic Vortex solves both of these problems with a little bit of difficulty on the later. The razor has a little difficulty under my chin on my upper neck, so I normally wet shave this area, which seems to always have a few hairs that escape the Vortex, about once every three days. This also keeps any ingrowns from forming in that area. I believe this issue is more personal and wouldn't let it affect the review.
The Vortex is easy to clean under the faucet, but it also comes with a charging/cleaning base, which works very well. The razor will alert you when it needs cleaning or charging with a small screen.

I read all the reviews before purchasing this shaver. The rave reviews were true and the use of this shaver is great. It took me a couple or three weeks to learn my whisker growth pattern. Once I knew what direction to shave on the different parts of my face, I went from a five to six minute shave to a 2.5 to 3 minute shave that is closer and more comfortable than any blade I have ever used.

After of over one year of use, I am going to throw it away. It is noisy (angry bee hive) needs a razor blade to get remaining stubble to a cleaner shave and side burn trimmer is useless. I would never recommend this product no matter how well it is recommended.

My husband recently needed to take the prescription cumadin, a blood thinner, and was advised to purchase an exectric shaver. I logged onto Amazon and reviewed many different electric shavers, concidering many brands and price ranges. The customer comments that were submitted for this product were very positive and were in fact better that the comments for some of the higher priced selections. I ordered the shaver and received it very quickly. My husband is absolutely satisfied with the shavers ability to hold a long charge, its self cleaning performance, as well as the results of using it, as he obtains a very attractive clean shave. I would reccomend this product to others.
